We set out with msnbc.com’s Courtney Hazlett to talk politics with Fall Out Boy fans at the Rock the Vote “Ballot Bash” in Denver on Monday night. Her agenda? To find out if the crowd was more interested in Barack Obama or the celebrities in attendance.

Yeah, because when I need to make an informed decision regarding our nation's future, the first question I ask myself is "What would Fall Out Boy do?"...
I always ask myself 'what would Fall Out Boy do' in a tough situation!
Who is Fall Out Boy?
Who is fall out boy?  And, why does his opinion matter?
They'd fall.  Out.
Who?
This so reminds me of South Park's "What would Brian Boitano do?"
People who can tolerate that corporate excuse of a rock band should not be allowed to vote.
My 11 year old listens to Fall Out Boy. They're good but I wouldn't base my vote on my 11 year old daughter's opinion or on Fall Out Boy. Don't these pundits have better things to do?
Is MTV gonna do the same thing outside a Toby Kieth or Vince Gill or Alan Jackson or Gretchen Wilson or Hank Williams, Jr. concert in St. Paul?
I ask "what would Chuck Norris do?"
Fall Out Boy is what is wrong with rock and roll today.
I can guarantee you that I never ask myself what Bush would do in a tough situation.

Listen to Bush speak. Then listen to anyone in Fall Out Boy speak. Bush embarrasses every American when he opens his mouth. At least the dudes in Fall Out Boy can put together coherent sentences.

I would at least trust them as much as I trust our current President.
You know, I usually vote with Poison, sometimes skid row, who are both for Obama. I do not agree with fall Out Boys ideals about the GDP and NAFTA.
If you have to ask yourself 'What would Fall Out Boy do?' then GOD help our country.  This is why people are fed up with politics!!!!!  Who cares what Fall Out Boy thinks??  All I want to know is what either Obama or McCain are going to do if they are elected!
What would Brian Boytano do?

Eric Cartman
Who or what is Fall Out Boy?
I've actually asked them for their opinions on other issues in the past, and, yes, they've always put me in the right direction.
Thanks Fall Out Boy.
Who is Fall Out Boy?
just shows you how messed up the whole democratic process is... millions of morally unformed people making decisions based on what a celebrity says...
Yeah, it's ALWAYS a good idea to base a prospect for president on the quality of music talent.

I think it's pretty safe to say that the bottom of the barrel has been reached on this topic. Heh.
When I am trying to make a tough decision, such as McDonalds Vs. Burger King, I often ask myself "Is this insignificant enough for MSNBC to report on?" Thanks again for top notch journalism.
Total days in Senate for Fall Out Boy? Total days in senate for Hussein? 173.. Yeah, let's make him president
if you listen to any celebrity, why not to a rock or a rap or a punk band...it's all the same. pick the person who helps you and your future. anyone who is not helping you is against you.
maybe it's not such a bad idea. We've given the stuffed shirt, nose in the air, holier than thou, lying (or engaging in disinformation) politician for long enough and look where it got us. Fall Out Boy for president. And Greenday would make a great running mate.
wow. i love fall out boy, but endorsing a possible president? i think politics should stay in politics, and celebrities should stick to what THEY know.
What is a fall out boy?
Just when you thought the Democratic Convention couldn't become more of a political spectical we get this insightful piece of journalism.  Too bad our political process has become like this when it's even worth finding out what Fall Out Boy thinks about this election.  Wonder why so many look at Obama's campaign as a celebrity event! Because that is all it is turning out to be.
im not sure i trust fall out boy's judgement. i am a lot more concerned with who flava flav wants me to vote for.
I pray to Fall Out Boy daily for guidance in all I do.
Once again, and this time from the mouths of babes, Barack Obama is further solidified as the biggest celebrity in the United States.  In saying that there is nothing that Barack Obama could say or do to get her to not vote for him, the cute girl in the red shirt embodies the mentality of a large sect of BO's fans*, that she is voting for his celebrity status, and not the content of his beliefs.

*(notice they are refered to often as 'fans' and not supporters)
But wait...there are OTHER celebrities there, too!  I even heard that (enter the floozy's name of your choice here) made an appearance!
These guys are crazy - I find that I  am always interested in what Courtney Hazlett thinks.
when i think of politics i always think of bands that have no interest in politics a  better choice would have been rage against the machine they have a good political message
WHO IS FALL OUT BOY?
When I need to make an informed decision regarding our nation's future the last thing that comes to mind is Barack Obama.
C'mon msnbc.... this isn't news, starting to look like CNN..
Who is "Fall Out Boy?"
Who is "Fall Out Boy?"  Am I too old to know?
i heard fall out boy told president bush to invade iraq so thats why were there....who cares what fall out boy thinks
So I guess the Republican's will counter with Panic at the Disco in MN?
I'm 64 years old, who is fall out boy. I know who George Jones, Roland Martin,  Eric Hoffer, Jimmy Rodgers, Jeff Shaara and Karl Marx is but, fall out boy.
Fall Out Boy is just as credible an authority on political life as one of MSNBC's chief anchors, Keith Olbermann.  Last time I checked, his claim to fame is coining the ESPN phrase, "Welcome to the Big Show."
